Astrology Regains Academic Standing
by Joanne Wickenburg, Board of Trustees Chair
The State of Washington has authorized Kepler College of Astrological Arts and Sciences to issue BA degrees in Astrological Studies. No other degree-granting college or university in recent centuries has integrated academically sound astrological teachings and research into its entire four-year curriculum.
Earning degrees in astrological studies has not been possible in over 400 years. Kepler College supporters believe that this academically sound program will lead to a broader acceptance of the use of responsible astrology in a wide range of businesses and professions. The founding of the college will lead to heightened public respect and expectations of what astrology is capable of providing to the full spectrum of society in the 21st Century, just as psychology, chiropractic, naturopathic healthcare and acupuncture gained credibility in recent years. Kepler College will also provide an academic setting for accurate and objective research.
Kepler College currently offers a Distance Learning Program with Symposia, designed to accommodate students from anywhere in the world without the need for relocation to Washington State. The curriculum was designed around a cutting edge, interdisciplinary and integrated learning model. Eleven weeks of each twelve-week term, students engage with fellow students and faculty using e-mail and internet communication. Students are required to attend a seven-day on-site Symposium each term for extensive hands-on, interactive learning. Before and after each Symposium, students complete independent reading, writing and research projects under the guidance of the faculty. Kepler's development plans include founding a campus/resident program in the future.
Kepler College is now accepting applications. Interested parties are invited to contact:
